Homekit not working on iPhone for none owner of Schlage Encode Plus

I have installed both the Schlage App and using Homekit for a Schlage Encode Plus. The lock is setup on my phone with my account as the owner. I have added my wife as an admin and sent her both invites from the Schlage App to add the lock to her account and in Homekit. When trying to add the lock in Homekit on her phone it states that lock is already added to her My Home but when you look the lock doesn't appear or show up like when I look in my app. Also when trying to add and using "works with" from the Schlage App it says there isn't a lock identified and when trying to add manually it states the lock is already part of Homekit. Tried troubleshooting with Schlage and they suggest I reach out to Apple.

Hello lapjr,

For difficulties with a HomeKit accessory, you'll want to take the steps below:

Check if your smart home accessories are responding in the Home app after each step.
1. Turn on Bluetooth in the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad, or in System Settings on your Mac.
2. Restart any accessories that aren't responding. You may have to take the batteries out of your accessory and put them back in.
3. Check the manufacturer's app to see if accessories that aren't responding in the Home app need a firmware update. If the accessories aren't responding in the manufacturer's app, you may need to reset them.
4. Restart any third-party bridges and all home hubs (HomePod, HomePod mini, and Apple TV) by unplugging then plugging them back into power.
5. Remove accessories that aren't responding from the Home app. Select an accessory, scroll down to accessory settings, and select Remove Accessory. If you don't see the option to remove the accessory in the Home app, it must be removed through the manufacturer's app. After you remove the accessories, follow the manufacturer's instructions to reset them and add them to the Home app again.

Should that still persist, are you experiencing difficulties with other accessories you use with the Home app?

I have tried all of those steps and none of them help. It only seems to be an issue with my wife on her phone who is listed as an admin but not an owner of the lock. If I completely reset and make her the owner of the lock then I have the same issues with my phone, but I would assume that being an admin should be enough for Homekit to be able to work. In the schlage app she can lock and unlock the device and her passcode work when manual entering at the lock. It just doesn't seem to work with Homekit.
