Home theatre control "control TVs and Receivers" greyed out.

CEC is turned on for Samsung TV and new Pioneer amplifier. (same issue with new Sony amp) I do not believe it's the 2 new amps I bought trying to fix this. If I plug the new apple TV 4k into the TV direct it works. My old apple TV HD worked just fine going through a pioneer amp. Issue is the new 4k appletv going through any amp. I can not turn the TV or amp off/on with the apple TV remote. I even tried a different apple TV 4k. Seems to be a compatibility issue with the apple tv 4k? Apple cant help. Pioneer and Sony cant help. so frustrating needing 3 remotes. Only needed one before upgrading apple tv.

Hello ashleymx,

It sounds like you are unable to use a few amps with the Apple TV 4K. In this case, we'd recommend the following related troubleshooting steps to try and resolve this issue:

Make sure the CEC is turned on for the receiver/sound bar. You may need to check the manual. (You did mention this was enabled in your post.)
Make sure Auto via HDMI is set un Apple TV Settings > Remotes and Devices > Volume.
If you only have the Auto via IR option, then the receiver/sound bar does not support this feature.

If unresolved, it may be best to contact Apple Support to discuss this further: Get Support

They would need to take it from here.

Step 2 and :3 doesn’t match what I see in the menu. Tried all options though and it still doesn’t work.
