Home Theater Control Not Working

I’ve seen threads relating to this but NO definitive answer! My Apple TV remote suddenly stopped controlling my LG TV and Denon receiver. Full control worked automatically when I initially set up the Apple TV, but after just a couple weeks it no longer functions as it should. And yes, Home Theater Control is greyed-out in the “Off” position. Can anyone point me to a thread that has the Answer?
