M1 Macbook moisture on bottom

When using my M1 Macbook Air sat directly on my lap, there will sometimes be moisture on both the bottom panel and my lap. The laptop is used in a dry environment. This same issue has also happened when laying in bed with the macbook placed overtop a blanket. Is the laptop’s heat wicking sweat/moisture from my body onto the bottom panel? There are no leaks coming from the laptop so I’m not sure what else it could be. I just want to make sure that the internals are safe, as I’ve never experienced anything like this before.

Thank you for the quick response, Libby. A laptop that cannot be used on your lap… never would’ve figured that. I hadn’t heard that policy from Apple but I will take you at your word, as I also believe it to be sweat.
