New Macbook Pro will not install newly purchased fonts

I recently upgraded my computer from a MacBook Air to a Macbook Pro. I had no issues with installing fonts on my Air but for some reason I cant get them to install on my Pro. I have tried dragging and dropping the entire font folder into my Font Book, I have tried dragging one font at a time, but nothing is working. I get a message saying "No Installable Fonts Selected" "None of the files selected contain fonts which can be installed on macOS. Check your selection and try again". Has anyone encountered this before, if so how do I fix it. I can't run my business without being able to install fonts when I need them.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.4

Try dragging your individual font files into Home/Library/Fonts (instead of Font Book). To get to Home/Library, hold down Option while doing Finder > Go. If there is no Fonts folder, create one via File > New Folder.
