Messaging Not Syncing on Mac for just ONE contact
My messages for just literally one person will not sync up from my phone to my mac. On my mac, it only shows the messages that I have sent on my phone, and does not receive messages from the other party. It doesn't show that it has delivered either when it clearly has on my phone. Is there a way to fix this? For every other person, it works just fine.

Synchronization is accomplished by having all devices signed in with the same exact Apple ID. Unless you give the contact your Apple ID and password (a bad idea ) syncing will not happen.

Does that one contact have a non Apple device maybe?
On your computer, in Messages, open Settings (or Preferences), then "@ iMessage". Is "Enable Messages in iCloud" checked? There is also a "Sync Now", which you could try clicking. That's the only suggestion I can come up with, at this point.
You totally misunderstood the issue. The OP is saying THEIR OWN devices are not syncing the same. I have the same issue. Some imessages show on my phones but do not show up on my laptop.
Same problem here…I’m signed in on my Apple ID on both my iPhone 12 Max Pro and my 2020 MacBook Pro and I have ONE contact whose messages haven’t updated on the MacBook since last December.
