Question

Mac started screen recording on its own

Its happened 3 times in the last 24 hours and it's genuinely freaking me out. Twice I was able to locate the recording and delete it but last time it got saved somewhere that doesn't seem to be on my desktop or anywhere else on my mac. I used clean my mac to search for it through different folders, searched for it in finder and couldn't locate it. I'm really worried.. how do I know if I'm being hacked?

the fact that you are using cleanmymac could very well be the issue. it is known to remove things that macOS needs to function properly, as well as many other anomalies within macOS. it provides zero protection or benefit. you would do well to uninstall it using the developer's instructions.
