I HATE when clicking on the clock alarm opens the clock app - bouncing me from whatever other thing I'm doing. Swiping up just snoozes the alarm, which will bug me again. I just want to tap on the alert to make it GO AWAY!!! Please, for the love of peace and quiet - how the heck can I just stop this weird behavior?

What I do for daytime alarms is disable snooze altogether. Then, I can swipe up, and it won’t ring again!
Also, I select a very peaceful, tap-on-the-shoulder type ringer for daytime alarms, also for the love of peace and quiet. 😊

That’s the way it works. But you can swipe the bar at the bottom of the screen to the right to go back to whatever you were doing.
