How to dismiss alarm notification without snoozing alarm?

Sometimes I wake up before my alarm clock and poke around before the alarm goes off. When the alarm does go off, a notification drops down from the top of the screen with no additional buttons such as; 'stop' or 'snooze'. My only option is to swipe this notification.

How does one use this notification to turn off the alarm without snoozing it? It seems like no matter which way I swipe it, the alarm is snoozed instead of disabled for the day -- and god it is SO frustrating.

Hey there MultiDollarCompany,

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities.

To get started, when you see the Alarm banner appear you should be able to turn off the alarm rather than snoozing it by tapping directly on the alarm.

If this doesn't work as expected, try restarting your iPhone to see if the issue persists: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

How to restart your iPhone X, 11, 12, 13, or later
1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

While restarting may seem like a simple step, it can often help with resolving some unexpected issues like this.

Keep us updated on the results.

Take care.
