No unread messages in any filters available. Many online posts but no fix yet. Any advise?

Got Siri to read all my unread messages and it fixed the issue.

Please see the two Pics Below which are self-explanatory

Pic 1 --> I tested to check your claim. It turned out that unread messages if not read will appear as shown below. iPhone 12 Pro iOS 16.6

Pic 2 --> Check the Message Setting on your device may be it is be changed as shown in the pic below.
