Latest Apple TV update broke access to Paramount Plus shows

This just happened to me. I paid for Paramount+ yesterday just to catch up on Star Trek New Worlds. I watched the first three episodes yesterday. Today, it kept opening in Prime so I disconnected Prime. Now AppleTV tells me to use Paramount+ App. I downloaded the app. Star Trek New Worlds plays in the Paramount+ app but with commercials...? I've tried about a dozen other Paramount+ shows, including the Star Trek shows, and they all play as expected in the AppleTV app.

Have you found a fix?

I'm having the same issue. I use the Paramount+ channel subscribed to through Apple and do not see Star Trek Strange New Worlds as an option all in the Paramount+ channel. It is particularly disappointing since I got a notification on my iPhone that the new episode is ready to watch.

Strange New Worlds Season 2 is playing there.

I called Paramount+ support and they pointed this out to me (I think this feature wasn't there when at some point in the past?). Also they have no idea why its not playing on Apple TV but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Apple support told us to request a refund and subscribe directly to the app which is fine by me. I didn’t really like the experience through channels. Nothing was alphabetical and you could only search with Siri.

This doesn’t work if you subscribed to the Apple TV “channels” version. I tried it and it couldn’t find my account. But they just had me request a refund and cancel the subscription. I signed up for paramount+ separately

I’m just now having that issue also. It was working on the Appletv subscription I watched the 1st 3 mins of Subspace Rhapsody paused and switched to YouTube to check something. Went back and it automatically went to prime video. Can’t find it now. Just downloaded the app version and subscribed for the no ad one week free. It’s on that one so I’m watching it on the app then cancel. They need to fix the issue.

Happened to us today. Tried restarting Apple TV, signed in and out. Nothing restores it Strange New Worlds is the only show effected. We get all the other Paramount shows. I guess I'll cancel my subscription through Apple and install the app and subscribe directly through Paramount.

Your not the only one as of 8-3-23 I tried to watch the newest episode and Star Trek Strange new worlds had disappeared from my line up. Only way I could find it even on paramount+ app thru apple was to go to another Star Trek and go to like this below. Earlier it showed season 2 but wanted me to subscribe to Paramount+ or Amazon which I have. Now is only season 1 I can find and wants me to pay for a season. What is going on and when will it be resolved.!!! It is a bad deal to pay for something and can’t get access to it.

Happened to me too. Spent about 2 hours on the phone with Apple support. I was advised to ask for a refund (just paid for a new month) from Apple and then download the app separately from Apple TV. Not real happy about it, but that’s what I did.

Have you been able to resolve this? Very frustrating

yea, it was literally in my queue a few hours ago and then was gone after work. This is super frustrating and worth canceling subscription through Appletv!

I just spent two hours on the phone with Apple support and they had no idea. They submitted a ticket. Sigh.
