email signature not saving in Ventura 13.5

Trying to save my email signature in the mail app. As soon as I quite the app and or turn my MacBook Pro off and back on, signature is blank.

Also, background photo on my screen will not save as well.

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE 1: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

NOTE 2: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries connect it with its charging cable before booting into Safe Mode. This makes it act as a wired keyboard as will insure a successful boot into Safe Mode.

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?

Turn off Mail option in Icloud /icloud Drive an then add/save your sig and compare you results.

>System Settings>AppleID>iCLoud

if saved then re-enable your iCloud.

Only if necessary sign out of AppleID and back in if sync issue

Sign out of iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV ...

Hello aricbecker,

I suspect @leroydouglas‘ directions may have been misinterpreted. Try this:

  1. Quit Mail.
  2. Open System Settings.
  3. Click your name (top left).
  4. Click iCloud.
  5. Click "iCloud Drive".
  6. Click "Apps synchronizing with iCloud Drive".
  7. Disable Mail.
  8. Click Done.

Once this is done, open Mail and create your signatures. Quit and reopen Mail to check that the signatures are still present. If so, restart your Mac and check for the presence of your signatures again.

If everything seems normal, resume steps 1 to 8 but, this time, activate Mail in step 7.
