Mail won't save signature (after app closes)

Hi there, i have just done a fresh instal of Ventura (13.2.1) on my Intel Macbook Pro. I can create email signature with no issue and on new message creation it will insert the sig as normal. However once I close mail and re-open the email sig has been deleted (from settings).


It was working correctly on same mac with Ventura installed but i decided to a fresh new instal of OS and setup machine from scratch and now it has issue as above.


I have tried with image in sig and also with just text but same error.


Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi dazdamodies,


We have a few questions to help isolate and get a better understanding of what you're experiencing. Does this happen with multiple Mail accounts or a specific account? Does this continue if a new user? Testing this will help determine if it is system wide and possibly software.

  1. Go to the Apple menu (  ) > System Settings
  2. Click Add account and select the type of account you would like to create
  3. Enter a name for user
  4. Enter a password for user
  5. Select Create User
  6. Select Apple menu (  ) > Log out of current user
  7. Sign into created user and set up Mail to test


Add a user or group on Mac - Apple Support


Is this happening with iCloud Mail? If so, does this continue after disabling iCloud Mail and reenabling it?


  1. Go to the Apple menu (  )  > System Settings
  2. Click your name at the top of the sidebar
  3. Select iCloud on the right.


Set up iCloud Mail on all your devices - Apple Support
