Podcasts - Explicit Content Restrictions

I am trying to listen something on Apple Podcasts and this particular podcast doesn’t play and I get a message to disable explicit content restrictions. I have disabled all restrictions under settings-screen time-content and privacy restrictions. Yet I keep getting the same message. This is very annoying.

Cannot remove explicit content restrictions from Podcasts. Hello there! I subscribe to many podcasts and have never had an issue with the app until recently. After changing my iPhone (I am using iOS18) I started getting this message on some podcasts: “This podcast can’t be played due to restrictions set for this device.” I have no idea why this is happening, but after some research, I realized it might be related to explicit content restrictions. Since then, and after reading several posts here, I have: • Checked that there are no explicit content restrictions in Settings -> Screen Time. • Erased and reinstalled the Podcasts app. • Even reset all settings, as suggested by another user (which I found very inconvenient). Unfortunately, nothing has worked, and I’m going crazy. Can someone please please help?

Can’t play explicit podcasts! Hello I'm using iOS 18 on my (iPhone15pro), and when I try to listen to podcasts, I get this message: "Enable explicit content under Screen Time in Settings to play this episode." I've always enabled explicit content, and after checking, I see that it's already set to "Explicit" under Screen Time in the Settings app for Music, Podcasts, and News. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the Podcast app and also reset my iPhone and surprise... it still doesn't work either. I have no such problem with Macbook, iPad, Apple TV.

This podcast can't be played due to restrictions set for this device I'm getting this error when I try to play any podcast marked as Explicit, in the Apple Podcasts app. It says "Restrictions can be managed in Settings -> Screen Time". I've disabled all controls in Screen Time, and I still get the message. I can play the same podcasts in 3rd party apps. I've tried rebooting, etc, to no avail. Any thoughts?

I don’t know if it is related, but I can also not play explicit episodes on my HomePod minis.

I can, though, on my other devices.

On which devices did you experience the issue?
