Episode Not Available

I did a search online to see if others were having issues with Apple TV playing Paramount episodes, and receiving a message “episode not available in your region” for shows that I have been watching the previous day.

I still see that there is no solution. I have checked my location on Apple TV through my Samsung TV and it shows the United States. I guess I am confused why this is happening. I just watched The Andy Griffith Show yesterday, and today, I can’t watch it.

Last Sunday when I was trying to watch the new episode of Joe Pickett, I had to screencast it. I don’t understand why it would do this if I was just watching the day before.

I have read a similar question and the responses. Still no solution. Does anyone have any solutions? (I will probably have to cancel the subscription and get through another provider, but I don’t want to).

Hey Lostfreedoms,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We'd recommend starting with the guidance from If you can't watch or stream movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app - Apple Support which can help with most issues regarding the Apple TV app. The following section may be particularly helpful:

"If the movie or TV show won't start playing

After each step, try to stream or download the movie or TV show again.

  1. Check the System Status page for service interruptions or check a third-party provider's website for any interruptions. If there are service interruptions, try to stream or watch the video later.
  2. If you're having trouble signing in with your Apple ID, you can reset your Apple ID password or learn how to get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication.
  3. If your cellular connection is poor, connect to Wi-Fi instead.*
  4. Try watching on a different device using the same Wi-Fi or cellular connection. If it doesn't work, contact your internet service provider to see if there's an issue with your network.
  5. If other people are using Apple TV+ or Apple TV channels, make sure it doesn't exceed the limits for streaming on multiple devices."

As mentioned at the bottom of that article, if the same continues and only happens with a particular app, it may be best to reach out to the app developer. Reference How to contact an app developer - Apple Support if you need help getting in touch with them.

All the best.
