Citrix Receiver detected as Malware and wont open. Workspace Installation fails. Mac only issue

I need Citrix for work on my computer and I already tried talking to my department IT and Citrix and they all claim it is a Mac issue. Citrix receiver is detected as malware and only gives me the option to move to trash. Citrix Workspace is the newer version and will download but once installation tries, it fails
