My Mac won't allow me to install citrix receiver, it keeps saying that it's malware because it couldn't determine the date it was downloaded (today, just a minute ago). What should I do?

Ok, got it installed (yes I had downloaded it from Citrix website) but now every 10s or so a modal box pops up with the error message "ReceiverHelper” will damage your computer. very annoying. How can I get rid of it?

I would think that it would only show up once. I don’t know how to stop at except ask Citrix to digitally sign their apps.
You should be installing the current version of Citrix Workspace as Citrix Receiver was renamed in 2018, with any future updates made for Citrix Workspace. That might make a difference in your current application behavior and signing issues.
Did you ctrl-click on it and choose, Open?
You should be able to install any malware you like. Did you download it directly from the Citrix website?
