Flagged message count not accurate

My Flagged messages show a count of 34, but I do not have any email flagged. how do I get rid of this?

Why are Messages from Senders Marked Block Still Appearing in My Email? I am being bombarded with junk email. I've hit the "block" button on the emails, I've added all their info into my "Rules" option, and the junk is still showing up. What good are the "block" options and "Rules" if the junk senders are still able to clog my In Box with their junk?

Choose your OS, then " Clear flags from messages"
