It is impossible to download iOS 16 on an iPhone 6, but users continue to ask how they can do this.

You need an iPhone 8 or higher model to run iOS 16.

Your options here are a newer (used, refurb) or new iPhone.

Any recent iPhone will be substantially more capable than iPhone 6, too.
