It is impossible to download iOS 16 on an iPhone 6, but users continue to ask how they can do this.

The iPhone 6 can be updated to iOS 12.5.7, no further.

You need an iPhone 8 or higher model to run iOS 16.

iPhone 6 is supported on iOS 12, and is not supported on iOS 13 and later.

Your options here are a newer (used, refurb) or new iPhone.

Any recent iPhone will be substantially more capable than iPhone 6, too.
