MacBook Pro does not recognize my iPhone when I plug in w usb cable.my device doesn’t show in finder

I’ve tried all the suggestions with no luck. My

MacBook pro doesn’t show my iPhone in finder when I connect via usb. I’m trying to transfer mp4 file from laptop to iPhone xs

iPhone XS, iOS 16

Some points to check would be:

  1. If you are using USB hub, try connecting directly to Mac
  2. Check if USB cable is faulty, Try a different cable (This mostly fixes the issue), then Trust both devices
  3. Restart both Mac and iPhone
  4. Check if your iPhone and Mac are updated to latest software
  5. Reset Mac's PRAM and NVRAM and check if it fixes the issue
