I connected an LG Ultrawide monitor to my MacBook Pro running Ventura 13.4.1. The visual is super grainy and terrible. It says in my system settings that it is set at 2560 x 1080 running at 60 hertz. something very wrong.
Just wondering if you ever managed to resolve this? I am running an LG 29UB67 via my MacBook Pro Touch Bar 2018 and although the resolution is set at 2560 x 1080 running at 60 hertz, the picture is very grainy and not at all crisp - especially text. Have also purchased a USB-C/thunderbolt to HDMI cable, yet did not improve.

Check with http://www.everymac.com which will list the maximum resolution supported by your Mac.
http://easyresapp.com/ has a great software called EasyRes, which once launched puts an icon by your clock in the upper right corner of the screen. This icon allows you to easily switch resolutions and frequencies. Some resolution and frequency switches are done on the LG's own on screen menu. Check with LG's support for your monitor's model number if you have difficulty reaching the right menu for on screen resolution.
Additionally your extended display resolution may be higher than the mirroring because the limited number of pixels of your screen on the Mac.
