Stuck on Welcome Screen

I’m trying to access my iPhone email, Apple mail. When I click on the mail app icon it won’t take me to my messages like it used to. Now it wants me to set up an email account, it Seems to be stuck on the welcome screen. When I enter my iCloud and email credentials it tells me that this mail already exists. If I try to close out and re-open the app I’m on the welcome screen again. What do I do?

Hello!

Ive had this issue my self before. To fix this open Settings, then scroll and hit Mail, hit Accounts and try signing in from there.
