icalendar reverses order of alerts set
Up until very recently (i.e. within the last month) when I create an event on the calendar and add a first and second alert, the first alert is the furthest chronologically from the event and the second (and any subsequent) alerts are for closer to the event. This is how this has worked across all my devices for years. Now, when I try to set a first alert for a day ahead (for instance) and a second alert for 1 hour ahead, my calendar switches the furthest out alert to second alert and the alert closest to the event to first alert. I used a test event to test whether the alerts occurred in the correct order and they do, but is this a bug or did Apple actively switch the order in the app to a counterintuitive setting? I know this was switched recently because when I go to view a past event the first time I view the past event the order shows in a chronological order. If I exit the event and then go back to view it a second time, it reverses to the "new" order (closest alert is listed first, not second).
I am not synching with any calendars outside of iOS/Apple
I do not have any default alerts set.
My time zone is set to automatic and matches across the following devices:
Macbook Pro 2105 (Monterey 12.6.7)
iPhone SE (2023 - iOS 16.6)
iPhone 7+ (iOS 15.7.7)
iPad 7th Gen (iOS 16.6)- two of these
Attached are examples of:
How scheduled event alerts looked like in March 2023:
This is the order in which event alerts list now:
These are my calendar settings across all devices:
Is there a setting I am missing to change this back to the intuitive setting of a couple months ago?
Thank you.
