One of my albums has just COMPLETELY vanished. I looked at my purchase history and hidden purchases and found absolutely nothing even though I have bought the album and listened to it many times. There simply appears to be no proof of the purchase anywhere at all and I have no idea why this is.
If you had purchased that particular album from Apple it would either show “purchased” or the download icon.
Perhaps it was purchased elsewhere.

Have you checked that it's still available in the iTunes Store, as it could have been removed?
It is very much still available on the iTunes Store and has been since 2015
I have done that already and it doesn't show up anywhere and I don't know why that is
