How do you change the view options of downloads in dock?

I can no longer see recent downloads on the dock download item (Ventura 13.4.1), how can the view options be changed? All I see is old downloads and an arrow "Open in Finder".

How do I resize the Download folder docks I accidentally removed my downloads folder from the dock. I added it back without problems but earlier my downloads would appear as a list with the most recent ones at the bottom, allowing me to access them quickly. To find an older download, I'd have to go to the main folder which was okay with me. However, after I re-added my download folder in docks, my 'quick access' files no longer appear on the basis of recents and they aren't in a list form either, rather they're arranged strangely and look as if I opened a folder. Kindly advise

download file on dock I lost my download file on my dock. I went to finder, found the download file, dragged and dropped it to the dock. Then I wanted to set is as a fan view, but when I right clicked on new download file in the dock, I do not get fan options. Instead a right click only produces two options: Open downloads or Options>. I hoped to find the fan option by clicking Options>, but the only choices I the had were Remove from Deck, Open at Login, or Show in Finder. How can I get the fan view back? [Operating system is macOS Monterey, version 12.6.5] AnnG

If you right click on the Downloads icons, change it to Folder or Stack. Also change View Content as: Fan, Grid, List, or Automatic.

Right or Control click on the Downloads folder icon in the Dock and chose what options you prefer.
