Have to do PRAM reset every time Macbook Air is turned on

3 issues really - 2 related

  1. MAC shuts off if not on constant cord power (assume battery is bad, which I saw online quote for about $129).
  2. Have to do a PRAM reset every time my MAC starts up or I only get cap mode
  3. Even after PRAM reset, the left side of the keyboard won't respond to Caps/Shift

Before I bring it in, I wanted to make sure I have done all I can do about the PRAM issue.

Thx for any help

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.14

All you can really do is reset it. If that fails, then there is something amiss and a visit to a Genius Bar is in order.
