What generation heart rate sensor is on the Series 7?

I'm curious if the 8 has an updated sensor and I can't seem to find that info out online...thanks all! I kow the Series 8 has the "third-generation heart rate sensor"

According to Apple:

Series 7
- "Blood oxygen sensor;12 electrical heart sensor and third-generation optical heart sensor"
Series 8
- Temperature sensor,1 blood oxygen sensor;12 electrical heart sensor and third-generation optical heart sensor
