Saving my Custom Greeting

To whom this may concern,

I am unable to save my custom greeting on my iPhoneX. The save word is always grey. How can I use my Custom Voicemail Greeting please?

Please contact your Carrier as VoiceMail is a carrier specific feature --> Check your voicemail on iPhone - Apple Support

VoiceMail (Visual or Normal) is a Carrier Specific feature. Contact your Carrier (Cellular Service Provider), the agency that issued the SIM / eSIM to you.

I don’t believe that is correct as I was using it prior with same carrier and randomly went to greyscale and won’t let me save . I needed answers on this topic so figured I would chime in
