Monterey Download

How do I get the Monterey download for an early 2015 11" MBA? It doesn't show as an available update. It isn't in the App Store. Computer is currently running Sierra.

MacBook Air 11″, macOS 10.12

Much has changed since the release of OS X 10.12 Sierra

Although the computer does Qualify for macOS 12 Monterey, you may consider upGrading in more gradual steps.

What every you decide - make sure to have at least 50 GB of Empty Space on the Internal Drive

UpGrades needs to download the Full Versions, then Expand and only then commence the Installation

If there is Third Party Security Software installed - get rid of it before stating the upgrade process. They are know to mess up the whole upgrade experience

Computer Qualify for the Monterey upgrade

macOS Big Sur 11 hardware requirements

macOS Catalina 10.15 hardware requirements

macOS Mojave 10.14 hardware requirements

macOS High Sierra 10.13 hardware requirements

Make Time Machine Backup  is very useful

Notation - Mojave is the Last version to support 32 bit applications / extensions and Drivers. Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Ventura supports only 64 bit and there is no workaround.

Suggest using Go64 to find 32 bit application before attempting the upGrade. Some or many of the Application already installed may require an update or upGrades to 64 Bit Version
