New episodes still populate for unfollowed shows

I have unfollowed several podcasts that I used to listen to. However, the new episodes keep populating in my listen now which is very annoying. I followed the “unfollow and remove” for each one but it doesn’t matter. I have also deleted the app twice but everything reappears. How can I stop these show from feeding? Do I have to switch to Spotify?

This is happening to me as well. But it’s also happening with shows where I just listened to one episode and now I’m getting all of their new episodes? Extremely irritating.

This is happening to me. The show is not subscribed on any family device or platform. What is frustration is the back catalogue of the offensive show goes back to 2007 as a weekly podcast. The only way I have to get rid of episodes is to slide through the time bar of each individual episode. This is an onerous task when this is for hundreds of episodes and the device has a reaction time to process. It is also having a devastating effect on my data allowance as these episodes are not downloaded on the device. I am finding each slide through an episode is counting to my data use. I am dreading what horrors await if other shows are locked into my device like this podcast show only to be revealed once the hundreds of episodes in this show are finally cleared.
