song keeps repeating itself

Apple Music keeps playing a list of 20 songs or so again and again from a playlist of 2320 songs. I have shuffle button ON and repeat OFF. This problem isn't new but lately has became worst.

The repeating of the same song has never happened until recently. What is up with that?

It sounds like your Repeat button might be on! Could you please open the Apple Music app, and tap on the song to open the full controls - How to repeat music on your iPhone - Apple Support. You’re mainly concerned with “How to repeat an album or playlist.” You’ll want to make sure this is not highlighted (as if it is it’ll repeat the song once or twice).

it could be that my free six montgs subscription is about to end and I was waiting till the day when I need to renew before doing so. Actually, I had intended to renew my monthly subscription because Apple is so kind as to give me a six-month free subscription for purchasing a new iPhone 15 Pro Max….however, if what I suspected were true, I’ll cancer it and switch to a Spotify subscription…

The problem with my music not advancing to the next song seems to coincide with signing up for Apple test run on a 3 month free subscription which I haven't used yet.
