IPhone 14 Pro Max can’t scan barcodes

I also have the iPhone 14 Pro and whenever I use a third-party app such as Amazon, New York, lotto or CVS, it will not scan a barcode is there any fix to this? Why has an apple added a bug fixed to this in an update it’s clearly a major problem.

The camera app that comes with your iPhone 14 Pro Max will only scan QR Codes and not barcodes. The standard barcodes can be scanned with the use of another app and its functions.

For example, you have to use the Walmart app to scan barcodes while shopping at Walmart.

I've been repairing Apple phone for 17 years I had a customer come in for the exact same problem..

We replaced the camera and then it didn't work still...

I noticed that there was something in front of the lens from the outer lens that we had replaced previously..

It still didn't work after I changed the camera but when we went into the Sam's app it scanned the barcode perfectly immediately..
