My Mac is not connecting to my UGEE drawing tablet, is there anything I haven't done or missed?

I am a student, so the only time I can really draw is during the summer. So today I connected my tablet to my computer to the tablet and it isn't picking up the tablet. It has worked with the computer before and it's not the adapter nor the cord I used. Do you think there is anything that could be wrong with the computer, and has this happened to other people as well?

If you're running Ventura on an Apple-Silicon-based laptop, you might be running afoul of a new security feature that requires you to authorize directly-attached USB and Thunderbolt peripherals. But you'd probably be seeing "Allow accessory to connect?" dialogs.

Oh sorry, I have a MacBook Air 13". My OS is 13.4.1, it has 8gb for memory, and the apps I'm using/need for my drawing tablet are the app that comes with it(its called PenTablet) and the app I draw with called MediBangPaintPro.

The only thing that has changed since the last time I used it was the adapter(which is a Type C to a USB Female adapter) and cord to connect(which is just a regular Micro-USB cable) it to the computer, because I lost the adapter and my dog bit the cord. But those all are working perfectly fine. As for the software I just redownloaded it and it is still not connecting

Kennie,

I may be new to these forums but i am a seasoned stalker of support for my computers - you need to include you computer model, OS version, memory/hard drive info and the apps with which you are using it - other peripherals would also be helpful too...

What has changed since you last used it? Did you do an OS update or upgrade? Are there more hard drives or monitors or applications installed since then? Check if there is a new driver or a software update at UGEE...

Since you had it working before and that you are using a NEW adapter I would be inclined to think that is the culprit. You say "Type C to a USB Female adapter" and since the Type C is USB-3 - You might have a USB-3 adapter and the UGEE needs a Usb-2 and doesnt work with the a USB-3.

All these connectors are not necessarily backwards or cross compatible - you gotta be exact!

Hope that helps a little...
