My 2023 Mac Studio M2 Max 64 GB RAM, with an external display connected through it's HDMI port, upon waking from sleep displays multicolored static. Disconnecting the HDMI cable and reconnecting restores normal operation. Any known solution for this?

Test a short premium certified HDMI cable to see if that helps.
If not, one work around to prevent un-plugging/re-plugging, is to setup a Hot Corner to Put Display to Sleep. Then use the Hot Corner to Sleep the Display and rewake it with a keystroke or mouse click.

Thank you this was helpful... I replaced the hdmi cable with a shorter and certified cable as recommended and so far have not seen the problem return. Thank you!
