Show name and phone number of a contact for incoming calls

Is there a way to see the name as well as the phone number when a contact calls me. Its a obvious feature in an android but I can’t seem to find any setting to enable it in my iphone 14 (ios16.5). If i have a contact saved with multiple phone numbers i want to see which number the person is calling me from.

I understand it may not be possible to get caller id for unknown numbers but why is there no way to enable it for my saved contacts??

Moreover i don’t see any place where i can see the history of calls with a contact along with what number they called me and what the duration was. I hope there is a setting that i am missing otherwise its really annoying.

That is not possible.

You can see the last 100 calls in or out in the Recents tab in the Phone app. If you tap on the little "i" at the right of an entry, you can see the date and time of the call and the duration.

Does your carrier support caller ID? Either way, you should probably contact your carrier for further assistance with this issue.

Yes but its not grouped for that contact. Like there is no way to go to a contact/phone number and see a history of call logs for that number. Its so weird because its such a basic feature that I couldn’t believe it doesn’t exist. Can’t show number and name for incoming calls and cant show history of calls. Wow!

i am talking about a contact saved on my phone.Even if i call myself it just shows my name. I want the name associated number to be shown ( as it is by default in any android )
