Charged on my Apple Card for Facetune

I was charged for Facetune. I DID download it and tried to use it but it wasn’t working properly. I emailed CS they told me to uninstall and reinstall. So I did. Nothing. Emailed again, CS Rep said if you weren’t charged for the “free trial” ($4.99 I think), then you didn’t create an account.

a few days later I am notified of the charge. So I dispute it. Apple recharges me, Facetune sends “proof” of purchase with a receipt with an email that is not associated with ANY of my social media or credit cards- inactive over 8 years. I contact Facetune and explain- I don’t have an account. I was charged for it, but I don’t have one.


Just to double check, I downloaded it again and put my info in- shows “inactive” if you want to sign up…. Blah blah blah. I have been going back and forth with them for over a month- I tried to use the app 3/21 I was charged 3/28. They claim they sent me a confirmation email, notice that I needed to cancel if I didn’t want to use the app (yeah right!), the claim they sent a receipt and that I opened it. NO WAY!!!


I have literally gone through everything possible app, platform, meta, FB, Insta, my Apple ID, iTunes, (for receipts) the apps on my iOS- NOTHING!!!! There is no trace of the app purchase! I am so irritated!!!! I have spoken to CS at Apple, Meta- NOTHING!!! WTH?!?!?


Facetune asked me to screenshot all of my personal information over and over- no- I didn’t include anything that could cause further harm- but it is so invasive and frustrating. It’s not worth the time for $59.99 but they could be doing this to sooooooo many people and ripping us off. It’s wrong and I can’t let it go- if there was proof, then from me- and they should provide the service paid for- but they aren’t even addressing that- it’s like being gaslit!!!


The bottom line is- yes, I tried the app, if I screwed up, then I have to pay for it, but that isn’t the case. I even sent them the emails that the app wasn’t working properly- they still couldn’t find the account-


So what is the problem here? THEY CHARGED FOR A PHANTOM ACCOUNT (how?), got caught, are fighting the dispute, but can’t tell me why there isn’t an active account, the platform it was purchased on and why it is under an inactive email that is in no way associated with my credit card or Apple Pay- Apple Pay automatically fills out personal information, i.e., my email address, etc., so does FB, Insta & meta- but there is Nothing!!!!


Has this happened to anyone else and what did you do? I’m done after almost 3 months!!!

I’m literally going through this now except I’ve been charged 64$ back in Nov & lucky me this am I got an update from my husbands card & guess who?! Same exact place! Which I actually contacted them last week about the nov charge an if I’m charged for it then either return my money or fix the app because when I put in my email it does not come up as me having any subscription! I couldn’t even find that receipt until I actually went through the web a through my account purchases ! But this charge today is complete bs ! Now last week they did tell me I need to contact Apple to have them refund my $ back because they don’t handle that. Hang on an I’ll try to send ya what they said to me

I had the EXACT same experience with FACETUNE, horrible, inaccurate directions ,where nothing has been resolved. I sent five emails last week with the same instructions sent back to me that was an automatice reply. After exhausting all options on my end I receive a $60 charege this eveing from FACETUNE. These billing practices and data privacy come across suspect. Not to mention I signed up for a free trial day one and went to cancel the free trial subscription with no luck.
