iCloud windows stuck in a initialization process

I am experiencing a problem with the iCloud Windows app, as it seems to be stuck in a re-initialization process. Unfortunately, even after reinstalling it five times, the issue persists, and the iCloud app remains stuck in the re-initialization process. I can still utilize the iTunes app on Windows, and accessing iCloud.com worlks fine. However, I am unsure about the specific cause of this problem and why I am unable to progress beyond the initialization stage on Windows. If anyone has any insights or knows of a quick solution, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.

Can't believe no one has answered this by now, but I have a similar problem. Downoaded iCloud app from the Microsoft store, installed it, clicked ON for iCloud Drive, the correct directory was created, and the app just says "Initializing..." and it never changes. The Drive folder is there in Windows but has nothing in it. At some point I saw "Sync pending" but haven't seen that again. Drive works perfectly on my Surface with Win 10 but not much newer laptop with Win 11.
