my MagSafe 3 won't charge my BRAND NEW MacBook air

bought MacBook Air in January and every time I use the charger it takes multiple times to get it to charge. this time it won't charge at all

what if the Mac doesn't charge on the supplied MagSafe adapter or another one? My new Mac Air charged once but now doesn't accept a charge via the MagSafe. I have tested it with another charger but still does not work so I am assuming it is a problem with the Mac itself. Suggestions?
