Do Try the USB-C cable they threw in the box, but they are notorious for being "lowest bidder" quality.

Best cable, or the one that you need to buy if the one 'shipped in the box' does not provide full resolution:

USB-C, with USB SuperSpeed+ symbol. if it came in a box, the box should say it meets or exceeds USB 3.1 specifications, length under one meter.

Thank you Falguni for your reply!

Really? I am wondering because I got the monitor like a month ago. Then was using it with the provided cable. all good until I updated to 13.5.1 and then to 13.5.2 Ventura.

Since the monitor is constantly disconnecting and reconnecting and sometimes even it does not show any picture on the external display only charging.

May you confirm that you are with MacBook m1 on Ventura ? 13.5 ? And you use the provided cable in the box ?

Thank you.

Hey Boom boom,

I've got a 2022 M2 Air - same as yourself I think?

I'm thinking about ordering this monitor. Did you get it working ok. I read that the monitor doesn't have specific driver support for MacOs but should work out of the box/plug and play. Can you let me know how you went?

Was the USB C cable out of the box sufficient to drive the video connection and also charge?

Cheers

"Drivers" in this context is not a real "Driver" at all, it is simply a package of settings (a "Profile" would be more accurate) that users have accumulated over time that seem to operate the display without the display exploding. Under windows, they are often side-loaded, and sometimes from dubious sources. The Mac does NONE of that from ANY sources.

Instead, the Mac Asks a display Authority. That is the Display itself. It is not an accident that a Mac know the name of every display you connect, without your ever typing it. Your Mac also knows the display capabilities as well, because it got them from the display itself.

The most frequent reason a display can not perform up to its advertised resolution is that the end-to-end data pathway provided is not adequate for ERROR-FREE transmission at the settings requested. Provided you can supply a data pathway that is adequate, these displays self-configure and work great.
