Apple Watch Ultra pool swim problem, 50m

Hi! I have a problem with my Apple Watch Ultra: I swim in a 50m pool, and when I swim only 50m, and I stop the workout, then this workout is not saved in the Fitness app. I use the default Workout App.

Apple Watch SE undercounting swim distance Whenever I finish an indoor swim workout, my Apple Watch shows the correct distance when I pause at the end of the workout but after I have stopped the workout, it undercounts by 1 yard. For example if I swim 50 x 30 yards, the watch shows 1500 yards when I pause but after I stop the workout, it shows 1499. This happens whatever the distance. If I look at the Fitness app it shows the Auto Sets as undercounting by one yard but the splits show complete distances of 100 yard multiples.

Apple Watch Ultra workout app and swimming HiI hope someone can help. I am trying to use my Apple Watch ultra on open water swims. It’s recording the route on the map and calories, but not distance, stroke or pace. I have tried recalibrating the Watch but it made no difference. Thanks

It may have more to do with the time of your workout than the length of your lap. If the time is too short, the Workout app Amy assume you inadvertently started the swim. I'm not sure, just my opinion.
