Apple Watch SE undercounting swim distance

Whenever I finish an indoor swim workout, my Apple Watch shows the correct distance when I pause at the end of the workout but after I have stopped the workout, it undercounts by 1 yard. For example if I swim 50 x 30 yards, the watch shows 1500 yards when I pause but after I stop the workout, it shows 1499. This happens whatever the distance. If I look at the Fitness app it shows the Auto Sets as undercounting by one yard but the splits show complete distances of 100 yard multiples.
