Apple 20W USB-C fast charging power adapter doesn't work

I was provided with 20W Fast charging power adapter with my new IPad Air purchase. However after using the adapter for more than a year, it stopped working.

I initially thought, if cable was faulty or my ipad needs a boot up, but then i swapped cable to different charger and finally figured out that the 20W Usb-C charger is not working.

It is surprising to see most of the apply power adapters last eternity, but this one barely lasted a year. Also, i was scrolling through online and lot people actually facing this issue with their 20W USB-C charger only but not with any other charger.
