Apple AirPods Pro left behind notification

I got a question about the left behind notification. Why do I receive lost notifications that my AirPods Pro are left behind somewhere when they are literally sitting inside my pocket? Is there anyway to fix this minor issue? It’s been happening ever since, I’ve been ignoring it until now and I am interested in fixing this issue if possible.
