How do I change the default folder when I save a screenshot to files

Hi, I have to take pictures of my text messages for backup for work and I save them to Files so that I can download onto my work PC. The first one of the day always automatically goes to the folder I've created for these messages. When I have to save others throughout the day it automatically goes to my travel folder. Is there a way I can set my work folder as the default folder so that I don't have to keep changing it? I have to do this anywhere from 3-15 times a day and it's been months of doing this.

It’s not the last folder though. It changes to my travel folder every time even though I haven’t gone to that folder in weeks.

Omg! It’s SO annoying for such a basic common sense action to glitch like that!!

Right now I’m downloading bank statements to a bank folder, so that is THE LAST FOLDER I’M USING, but every single statement I save defaults a car insurance folder I was using yesterday!

Every single statement, I have to navigate out of the car folders and back to my bank folder. It’s not just this, it’s always operated this way.

I’ve even tried closing the app while in the desired folder-nope-still defaulting to cars.

I think Apple makes it’s apps so unsophisticated so we are forced to buy apps from the App Store.

Really mad right now.

If you are referring to the Files App then nothing is stored automatically here. You need to select the folder to be saved. It will offer the last accessed folder for saving you are free to choose your own.

Correct. My work computer is not a Mac but I downloaded iCloud so that it syncs the files. I don't have any issues downloading the files on my computer once the screenshots are saved to Files. The only issue I'm having is the Files app not defaulting to the last folder I used and not having an option to set my work folder as the default manually.

So you're trying to save texts from your iPhone to the Files app, then download onto your work computer? Is this correct? Also, is your work computer a Mac?
