Apple pausing during swimming

Is it possible to turn off Auto Pause for swimming?

Sometimes my watch records the laps correctly and other times it pauses after 100 metres. I’m not always aware that it has paused. I wear it on my non-dominant wrist… which also happens to have a tattoo.

I’m going to try it on the other wrist and see if that works, but I’d be just as happy to turn off the Auto pause if I could.
