I just had my first ever Apple Watch series 8 cellular watch delivered to me today. After taking it out the box the battery was completely dead. Is this normal? As usually with apple products there is some battery for the set up? It’s been on charge for over an hour and the green lighting bolt is on however the battery is not increasing. I am worried I have received a bad Apple Watch. Has anyone else had this issue? Can anyone please advise? Thanks
Hi Joseph, I ended up leaving it on charge for a few hours and it eventually charged and it’s been fine every since, works perfectly

Yes took a couple of hours for it to charge the first time and worked fine after. Had no issues since, works perfectly and charges to full in about 35-40 minutes
Im having the same issue right now. Did you end up finding an issue?
Did it take an hour or 2 until it came on for the series 8.
