Iphone 14 camera "self-adjustment"

Hi all

I have the iPhone 14 pro max, but i'm starting to get so annoyed about the whole camera situation. The iPhone keeps auto correcting my photos right after I take it - so it looks horrible!!

I have looked everywhere where to turn it off: on YT, articles, Apple stores, calling Apple and so on but apparently this is not a feature that you can remove.

Does anybody have some tips on how to remove it, or do anybody know something about when apple will take this problem seriously?

I know many suffer from this, also on Iphone 13!

Kind regarfs

I wanted to share this because so many people have had issues with filters on their camera settings. When I first set up my iPhone 14, I was asked if I wanted to use a preset filter in order to automatically increase a certain desire. I chose more contrast. Mistake. Obviously, a true photo is easier to understand and adjust. If you go into settings, go to camera in your list of options/apps etc, click on camera, there is an option to change photo styles. If you want a true photo, click on standard and that will eliminate any filter that you may have attached unknowingly. I hope this helps.

All cameras have “self adjusted” since the beginning of photography. With film cameras different types of file produced noticeably different results; and these results could also be adjusted in the darkroom. (Remember Paul Simon’s “Kodachrome” - with the line “Kodachrome, they give us those nice, bright colors” - photographers who didn’t like the artificially bright colors of Kodachrome used Ektachrome, Kodak Professional film, Fuji Film or film from other manufacturers). And all digital cameras today adjust also, but there are photo editors on both your phone and your computer to adjust the color balance and saturation.

There are tricks that you can use; first, shoot HDR, which produces multiple images with slightly different settings that are combined to product one adjusted image, but you can select individual images to find one that is closer to what you want. Another is to shoot Live Photos, which actually creates a short video; you can pull the image you like best from the video. Yet another is to use burst mode, which does less adjustment, then pick just one of the images from the burst.
