Silent Clicking - Not working on M1 MacBook Air

So I've had this MacBook Air for almost 6 months now. I was getting annoyed at how loud the trackpad is when it is clicked. I ended up finding the "Silent Clicking" option in System Preferences. I am currently on the latest version of macOS at this time. The silent clicking option makes no difference to the volume of the sound. I searched up several tutorials to see if anyone had a similar issue, but it is persistent. The option simply does nothing to lower the trackpad volume.

I had this problem too and actually asked the question but can't find my post. Regardless, after talking to Sean at Apple support he suggested starting my M1 MacBook Air in safe mode to see what happened. I did this and silent click worked normally. I thought it was my Adguard which I disabled but right after posting this silent click stopped working. I'm going to go back to safe mode and stay there for a while to see what happens. Click is silent again after typing this update!
