Screenshot changes in Ventura - No edit mode by default

With the update to Mac OS X Ventura, it seems like they have changed how the screenshots work. In previous versions, after taking a screenshot, it would open in edit mode so you could start drawing straight away.

Now in Ventura this is not the case anymore, and you need to click a couple of times to be able to start drawing, which is quite annoying as the main use case when taking a screenshot is to draw/annotate something on it.

Is there a way to change this so it behaves like it did before? Any settings or something I'm missing?

Thanks.

Take screenshots or screen recordings on Mac - Apple Support (CA)

You can always send  your Product Feedback to Apple requesting a Feature Addition

To be honest, this is doubtful this last in the development of Ventura mcOS 13

They are probably already shifting some focus to the Successor to Ventura
